Nature is round
Some pre-exhibition pollen pictures - before framing.
Although very simple in form, each square is made from approximately the amount of pollen a bee would collect in its short lifetime. The pollen has been sorted into colour groupings and painstakingly applied to museum quality paper. Representing in a small way the intensive work ethic of the bee. I chose the 'square' to represent the manner in which we, as humans, attempt to control nature. As one scientist put it '...nature is round, humans are square'.
